My Journey

My journey began in Poland, where I was born, raised, and educated. While studying mining engineering at the University of Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow, I discovered two lifelong passions that would shape the rest of my life—travel and photography.

After graduating, I worked underground in a coal mine before emigrating to the United States in 1977. I settled in Pennsylvania and was fortunate to build a career that combined my profession with my love of travel. As an International Sales Manager—and later Director—for a global mining equipment company, I traveled to more than 50 countries across six continents.

My camera became almost as essential as my passport. Business trips allowed me to experience extraordinary places, remarkable cultures, and unforgettable people, while photography gave me a way to preserve those experiences.

One business trip changed my life forever. At the World Mining Congress in Acapulco, Mexico, I met Kasia—the love of my life, my wife, and my favorite travel companion. Together, we have continued to explore the world, discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and creating lasting memories.

After retiring and moving to Florida in 2013, photography evolved from a lifelong hobby into an important part of my life. Today, my photography is equally divided between travel and the beauty of the natural world, including wildlife, and landscapes.

I hope this website reflects not only the places we have visited, but also the joy of exploration, the excitement of discovery, and the belief that every journey—whether across the world or close to home—is worth remembering.
